Benjamin Moore launches the Benjamin Moore Color PortfolioTM app and integrated ColorReader devices – allowing designers, homeowners and DIY enthusiasts to measure any flat surface (grandmother’s china, your favorite nailpolish) and match it to the closest paint color in both Benjamin Moore and other leading brands’ color libraries. The app will then allow the user to visualize the paint color in their room. Gone is the guesswork in trying to decide which shade of Navy is closest to that blazer you love, as is the expense of repainting a cream room that is just a tad too yellow.

While many companies have integrated visualizer app tools to help people picture what colors will look best in their home, the Benjamin Moore app is the first to project the accurately measured color, rather than the color your eye has deemed as the closest match, into a room visualizer on the spot.

Just hold the device to match the color of any flat surface (interior and exterior) and provide users with the closest paint match across Benjamin Moore’s 3,500+ colors as well as the paint colors of other leading paint brands. The device is foolproof and easy to use: place ColorReader device on the desired flat surface to take a color measurement and the app will display the three closest color matches.

The Color Portfolio app is available to download free on Apple® and Android™ mobile devices. The Benjamin Moore ColorReader device is available in two models; ColorReader (MSRP $99) and ColorReader Pro (MSRP $249) for purchase at select Benjamin Moore retailers and online at benjaminmoore.com/colorreader
