Hisense RGB MiniLED Brings True Colours to Life

RGB MiniLED technology hasn’t just changed the game for TV; it has redefined the experience, bringing it closer to true life than we have ever seen on a screen.

For decades, TV innovation has been striving to create a picture that looks as lifelike as possible. That challenge has been tackled by going right back to the source, changing the way a television generates color at the very beginning. The technology is based on MiniLED innovation that produces a picture from tens of thousands of little diodes. But where MiniLED diodes emit white and blue light through a filter, RGB MiniLED uses independent red, blue and green LEDs to precisely control colour and brightness. This delivers purer colours, stunning brightness and deeper contrast that makes movies, sports and games look more vivid and lifelike.

“RGB MiniLED ultimately delivers s something everyone can appreciate: rich, natural colour, impressive brightness and greater picture precision,” says Lindsay Takashima, Deputy General Manager of Hisense Canada. “It makes what’s happening on the screen feel that much closer to the real thing.”

Hisense introduced the first consumer RGB MiniLED television to market in 2025, and has advanced on that innovation in its latest RGB MiniLED models with an expanded colour spectrum and more depth in the wave length precision. But what exactly does this mean, and how does it improve the viewing experience?

“Sports are a great test for any television because viewers want to see every detail while keeping up with fast-moving action,” says Takashima. “But the same principle applies whether it’s football, a blockbuster movie or the latest video game. The better a TV can control its light and colour, the more convincing the picture can become.”

The Hisense UX Series is the flagship RGB MiniLED television in the company’s roster, which has expanded this year with the UR9 series and the recently released UR8 series.
