Maximize the Horror Movie Experience

The tension builds, with ominous music providing a haunting backdrop as the character on the screen emerges from the forest, and lets loose a blood-curdling scream as the villain appears branding an axe.

To get the most of this suspenseful build up — the full effect of the chilling score, the piercing shriek, the details of the baddie’s costume, the splatter of the blood — some thought should go into both the atmosphere of the room, and the TV that will be screening the film.

“How a horror movie is experienced is greatly influenced by the kind of TV being used,” says Puneet Jain, Hisense Canada’s Senior Director of Marketing and Ecommerce. “The TV has to do the film justice, with the right colour balance that makes dark scenes pop and bright colours dazzle, and sound that highlights the music without drowning out the dialogue — and screams.”

Hisense Canada offers the following features for the ideal horror movie television:

With the right TV ready to go, give some thought to an atmosphere in the rooms that will enhance the viewing of the film. It should be dark, with maybe a few candles providing a small amount of flickering light at the back of the room. You want it quiet so the soundtrack of the movie resonates throughout.  For more information, please visit hisense-canada.com.
