This performance-oriented special edition of the Subaru BRZ is limited to just 100 units. The Murasaki Edition – a word meaning “purple” – is based on the BRZ tS trim and exclusively features a Galaxy Purple Pearl exterior paint scheme.
The Murasaki Edition retains the same 228-horsepower 2.4-liter SUBARU BOXER engine, delivering a linear torque spread and a low center of gravity. A close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission is available exclusively for this special edition, giving the driver full control of the rear-wheel-drive 2+2 sports coupe. Based on the tS livery, the Murasaki Edition receives Brembo high-performance brakes with gold-painted calipers and Hitachi-Astemo front shock absorbers that enhance stopping power and driving dynamics.
Inside, the Murasaki Edition features gray accents on the black leather/Ultrasuede seats and door trim, as well as gray stitching throughout the cabin. A Murasaki Edition badge sits prominently in front of the gearshift, emphasizing the exclusive character of the model, limited to approximately 100 units. On the exterior, complementing the exclusive Galaxy Purple Pearl paint finish are a side-strip graphics kit, a low-profile spoiler finished in Gloss Black, and 18-inch 10-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels with a silver finish. For enhanced performance and rigidity, the vehicle features an STI flex-V torsion bar under the hood.
