PowHERtalks National Speaker Series: ask for impact

Lifestyle + Leadership Women’s Series comes to Victoria June 18, 2016

 

PowHERhouse Performance Strategies launched the PowHERtalks National Speaker Series in October of 2015, a uniquely empowering, all-female lifestyle + leadership presentation series designed specifically to help committed, passionate women move their missions forward. PowHERtalks takes women through a process where they gain confidence and clarity around who they are, their mission and what they need to ASK for to help them move forward. It then provides a platform for telling stories and asking for support. Directly focused on measured social impact and taking action to build stronger women, families and communities, both locally and globally, PowHERhouse is setting out to redefine women’s media in Canada and the positive impact it can make.

Between October 2015 and December 2016, the PowHERtalks Speaker Series aims to connect 1,000+ women in six communities across Canada through an afternoon of creativity, confidence- building, inspiration and learning. Many projects will be born throughout this inaugural tour, creating a possible ripple affect across the country of what is possible when you connect powHERful women and collaborate to take action. Three of the six PowHERtalks Victoria featured guest speakers are Aboriginal women, and the event will be opened with a special Indigenous cultural song and dance ceremony.

PowHERtalks have been held to date in Nanaimo, Sechelt and Vancouver. Upcoming dates include,

  • Victoria, June 18, 2016: Mary Winspear Theatre, Sidney, BC.
  • Calgary, October 2, 2016: Arts Commons, Calgary, AB.
  • Toronto: early November 2016 tba.
