After a dynamic year of pivot projects, pandemic unknowns, and a shift in the buy-local movement we are pleased to announce that the Cheese and Meat Festival will return this fall. The Festival will take place on Saturday, October 16th at the historic Powerhouse located in downtown Victoria. The Festival will have three tasting sessions and seminars that will showcase the best of the local artisan food and beverage industry.

“The pandemic allowed us to narrow our focus and develop a Festival alongside our amazing vendors and partners that will showcase over 40 different vendors who play off each other’s products. Our goal is to align our guests’ taste buds with new products and new pairings. A great example of this is chocolate, cheese, and beer, all of which will be at the Festival.” – David Bain, Festival Founder.

Tickets are extremely limited for this year’s Festival. The pandemic has shifted the way in which in-person events take place. The Festival will only be selling 50% of the capacity for each tasting. Tickets will be offered to newsletter subscribers prior to going on sale for the public. It is expected that these tickets will sell-out very quickly. To sign up for the Festival’s newsletter please visit: www.cheeseandmeatfestival.com/newsletter. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on August 19th at 10:00 am.

“The Cheese and Meat Festival showcases the best local artisan food and beverages that you’d find on or alongside a charcuterie board. Our goal is to introduce guests to new products and exciting pairings that excite their taste buds. The key is that guests can journey to the Festival as a one-stop shop to taste various products produced locally.

The Festival has already secured an amazing array of vendors, which include foods from: Justo’s Hummus, She-Devil Delights, Bon Macaron, Two Rivers Meats, Eve’s Crackers, Truffle Pig Chocolate, Happy Goat Dairy, Habibi’s, Little Qualicum Cheeseworks, Bothwell Cheese, Paradise Cheese, Bite Matters, Chilliwack Honey, The Village Cheese Co, Caffe Umbria, Terra Foods, Arc Imports, Demos By Design, Barrelhouse Brine, Heathen Smokehouse, Haus Sausage Co, Blue Heron Cheese, Salt Spring Kitchen, Smak Dab.
