The Man Cave – the get away spot to do…well…’man stuff’. We’ve rounded up some great D.I.Y. projects to work on this spring to turn your nook into the ultimate man cave.
BEWARE…once you have converted your man cave with some of these fun ideas you might not be able to keep your friends from coming over.
1. The fishing fanatic – bring your hobby indoors by repurposing an old canoe or small boat and painting it up to make a shelf unit. When standing upright the shelving unit can be used for pool sticks and gadgets or to hold your fishing rods.
2. The ‘car’ guy – Sure you work on cars in your free time, but ever thought about bringing your love for cars into the indoors? Check out this great idea – repurposing an old tire and installing a mirror to the centre to make the ultimate man cave bathroom. Why not add a mechanics tool box as a bathroom storage unit to add to the theme. Want the bathroom to match the living room – try using an old tire and adding a glass top to create a fun couch-side table.
3. The ‘gamer’ – If you’re a gamer you most likely have some old remotes or game parts hanging around your home. Add some flair into your man cave by using old remote sticks as coat hangers and nobs in your new space. Another great coat hook idea is repurposing old tools and wrenches as wall hangers – contributing to your room’s theme.
4. The innovative coffee table – Reinvent your living space by converting your coffee table into one of these incredible options. By cutting out a rectangle in your table and inserting a metal square ice holder in the middle – you will have the ultimate football frenzy pad for entertaining. Another option- using an old road sign as the top of your new table.
With a clear theme in mind – the opportunities are truly limitless for D.I.Y.’s! Old kegs revamped into stools, old barrels converted into a beer cabinet and old tools used in the most interesting new ways, we hope these inspire you to try some on your own!
