The Hamptons is a popular summer vacation destination for those who are looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of city life.

However, you don’t have to venture to the Hamptons to experience the tranquility of its aesthetic.

With Google searches for ‘Hamptons style decor’ peaking in popularity in the past month, the highest it’s been in the past 12 months in the US, Cassandra Leisz, creative director at innovative interiors brand, Ruggable, has shared her top tips on how to bring the Hamptons decor style into your home:

“The Hamptons decor style is all about combining natural elements and cooling color palettes to recreate a coastal aesthetic that promotes a calming and peaceful environment. From the soft, sandy beaches to the famous White Party, there are a number of factors from the Hamptons that you can take inspiration from to incorporate into your interior style.

You can bring the outdoors in by opting for a color palette which subtly nods to the coastal scenery. For instance, light blues are reminiscent of the sky, the ocean, and other elements found within nature. It’s an effortless, refreshing shade that can brighten up a room, but ensure to opt for lighter shades of blue to create an airy feel throughout your room.

Alternatively, to use the sandy beaches of the Hamptons as the main point of inspiration for your interior decor, opt for a beige color palette paired with off whites for a clean aesthetic. A great tip here would be to use a light beige as your main color and accent with a darker beige, such as clay or tan, to add depth to your room.

For the finishing touches, look to accessorize with natural materials to really hone in on the coastal look. Things like linen and sheer fabrics, rattan and jute materials and stone effect decor will help to achieve this.”
