When winter hits hard and the snow piles up, staying home becomes the plan whether you like it or not. The good news is that there are simple ways to make those indoor days feel a little cozier. With a few common ingredients and Grant’s Triple Wood, you can transform quiet afternoons into cozy nights in.

“Everyone has those days when the weather keeps you inside, and snow days are the perfect excuse to experiment with simple cocktails in the comforts of your home,” comments Heidi Smith, Brand Manager for Grant’s Whisky. “You don’t need fancy tools or gourmet ingredients. Sometimes the best cocktails are the ones you throw together with what’s already in your pantry, and Grant’s makes it easy.”

So when winter settles in, and stepping out isn’t in the cards, Grant’s keeps it simple, comforting and close to home with serves that work with what you already have.

Grant’s Hot Chocolate

A cozy twist on winter favourite. Creamy hot chocolate meets the smooth, slightly sweet warmth of Grant’s Triple Wood, finished with whipped cream and shaved chocolate on top for a comforting treat that feels indulgent but effortless.

  • 60 ml Grant’s Triple Wood
  • 250 ml hot chocolate
  • Whipped cream and shaved chocolate garnish

Prepare hot chocolate and stir in Grant’s Triple Wood. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

Many whiskies rely on one type of cask, but Grant’s Triple Wood is matured in three: Virgin Oak brings warm spice, American Oak adds soft vanilla, and Bourbon Refill adds brown sugar sweetness. The result is a smooth, approachable whisky that works in simple drinks, classic cocktails, or just on its own. Six generations of the Grant family have perfected this approach, making it Scotland’s oldest family-run blended whisky. The craft speaks for itself, with Grant’s recognized with Gold at the 2025 International Wine & Spirits Competition and Silver at the 2025 International Spirits Challenge.
