A prime example of this trend is the award-winning bar space at Magnolia Residence, masterfully designed by JHA, a Vancouver-based design and architecture firm. The space was awarded Best Wine Room/Bar Space at the NKBA Western Canada Design Excellence Awards, and redefines traditional concepts of a drinking venue, transforming it into a focal point for social interaction and a testament to outstanding design.
Black Calacatta marble was seamlessly integrated into the bar and cellar, offering a striking contrast against the bespoke, stitched leather panel millwork. Enhancing the bar’s charm, a custom Vancouver skyline pendant light, designed in collaboration with RJ Cross, further elevates the space.
The cellar level of the Magnolia residence was intended as a dedicated entertaining space boasting not only the custom bar and wine cellar but also a home theatre, a separate guest wing with spare bedrooms and a spa and exercise room.
