This week, Gardens BC is thrilled to finally debut their all-new website, www.gardensbc.com, a free go-to resource for tourists and British Columbians alike to uncover gardens across every region of the province – and the amenities unique to each.
The numerous gardens around the province offer a stunning backdrop for reconnection and rejuvenation with loved ones – making it the perfect place to celebrate ‘mom’. In the Vancouver Island Region, for example, which covers everything from North Island to South Central Island, Greater Victoria, and everything in between, users can check out six different gardens each of which offer very distinct experiences. From the world famous Butchart Gardens in Brentwood Bay to the Milner Gardens + Woodland in Qualicum Beach, there is something for everyone. Best of all, you can check out the amenities and services each garden offers (i.e. wheelchair accessible, dog-friendly, food + beverage services etc.) before arriving to ensure a seamless and memorable experience for everyone.
In the last number of years, garden tourism has continued to increase in popularity. With the new Gardens BC website, nature lovers, garden enthusiasts, and everyone in between can leverage its features to make the most of peak garden tourism season this spring and summer. Key features of the website include:
- Identifying garden regions across B.C., including two new regions this year in Vancouver’s North Shore and Prince George.
- Curated garden-centric travel itineraries to make planning your next trip through beautiful British Columbia as easy as possible, including photos, the amenities found at each, and detailed writeups.
- An informative blog providing endless inspiration and contributions from notable contributors and garden experts, including Brian Minter and Erin Despard.
- A selection of the gardens that are available for private events and weddings across BC- each of which offers a stunning setting for creating lasting memories.
