It’s on! Brewery & the Beast Announces 2024 Dates for Vancouver, Calgary and Vancouver Island

These grey days of winter have us dreaming of hot summer fun. Today, Brewery & the Beast makes those dreams come true by announcing its return for an even better year of meat, drinks and sizzle — to Vancouver on June 2, Calgary on August 25, and Vancouver Island on September 22. Tickets go on sale soon.

Western Canada’s favourite outdoor culinary event, Brewery & the Beast features top-quality meat cooked in a range of styles, from expertly grilled to slow-roasted, braised or smoked, dished out by some of the most acclaimed restaurants and chefs in each city, all paired with chilled local brews, ciders, wine, cocktails and refreshing zero-proof options, and entertainment throughout the day. And this year, organizers are kicking it up a notch with more food from chefs, more drink options, and fewer crowds.

“We’re so honoured and grateful that Brewery & the Beast has received so much love,” said Scott Gurney, director of the 17 Black Events team that produces the festival. “This year, we’re focused on making the event better than ever, while maintaining 2022 pricing for our BC events, to really recognize the loyalty people have shown us.”

The 2024 event marks a return to the “All You Can Enjoy” format for both food and drinks, with an increased number of food offerings, more beverages and extra dessert options, as well as a smaller crowd for a more intimate atmosphere. Full drink service will run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and after hearing from last year’s attendees that the sizzle should be kept to the food, organizers are also adding more shade to the seating area. “We’re excited to offer a fresh, delicious, and well-organized experience for both participants and event-goers,” Gurney added.

Returning once again as a key sponsor for this year’s Brewery & the Beast is Two Rivers Meats. “Brewery & the Beast is a full-on celebration of local food and drink; of ethical, sustainable and natural farming practices; and talented chefs and exceptional restaurants. It’s right up our alley, and we’re proud to support it every year,” said Jason Pleym of Two Rivers Meats. Additional sponsorship and partnership opportunities are available, as well as spots for participating restaurants and beverage producers.
