Harrison Ford Stars in Glenmorangie’s New Global Whisky Campaign

Glenmorangie has unveiled a cinematic new global campaign—Once Upon a Time in Scotland—featuring none other than Hollywood legend Harrison Ford. The collaboration marks a playful and unexpected partnership between the iconic actor and the renowned Highland single malt whisky maker, resulting in a series of films that blend humour, authenticity, and Scottish charm.

The campaign follows Ford as he travels to Glenmorangie’s historic home in the Highlands, exploring the craftsmanship, people, and traditions behind the brand’s award‑winning whiskies. Shot in a deliberately unscripted, off‑the‑cuff style, the series captures Ford embracing Scottish culture—from tackling local pronunciation to learning the finer points of kilt etiquette, and of course, sharing a dram with the distillery team.

“The whole process of filming was full of unanticipated joys: little unexpected moments,” Ford says in the release. “It’s a tribute to Glenmorangie’s sensibilities that they let us be less than totally serious.”

Directed by actor and filmmaker Joel Edgerton, the campaign includes 12 episodic films and a hero short, all set against the breathtaking landscapes of the north‑east Highlands. Locations include the 19th‑century Ardross Castle, the dramatic surroundings of Loch Glass, and the distillery in Tain—Glenmorangie’s home for more than 180 years.

The real Glenmorangie distillery team also appears alongside Ford, stepping into the spotlight for the first time. Their presence reinforces the campaign’s focus on authenticity and the people behind the whisky.

Edgerton notes that the goal was to break away from traditional whisky advertising:

“I really like it when things are a little disruptive, fun, and irreverent… We got a chance within the very traditional industry of whisky to get behind the scenes, subvert the seriousness, and have fun with it.”

The campaign is rolling out globally across online video, connected TV, out‑of‑home, experiential, PR, and social media. Six full‑length episodes and behind‑the‑scenes content are now available at glenmorangie.com, with additional releases scheduled throughout 2026.
