HIBOITEC’s aluminum path lights let homeowners replace a failed bulb without pulling the fixture out of the ground. With standard G4 bulbs in its China Hat and Pagoda models, the brand is targeting homeowners who want lighting they can maintain on a modest budget.

According to HIBOITEC, replaceable bulbs have been more closely associated with higher-priced brass fixtures. The brand chose die-cast aluminum to offer that maintenance option at a more accessible price. Homeowners can retain the ability to change a bulb without committing to the budget of a premium brass system.
A bulb failure can otherwise mean more than a dark patch on the front walk. In a sealed fixture with no replaceable light source, restoring the light may require changing the entire unit, even when the housing is still usable. For the homeowner, that means removing and reconnecting a light that has already been positioned in the garden.
Changing a design the brand once sold
HIBOITEC previously sold that type of sealed light itself. According to its company history, the brand started in 2019 and spent about five years selling fixtures with the LED and driver sealed inside. When an internal component failed, the construction left little room for replacement or repair.
The brand began retiring plastic-bodied products in 2024 and commissioned its own fixture molds in 2025. The redesign made room for a separate bulb socket, a removable shade and a seal that could be put back after opening. The aim was to make routine bulb replacement possible while keeping the fixture in service.
On the G4 path lights, the process is straightforward: switch off the power, open the shade, remove the failed bulb and fit a compatible replacement before restoring the cover and seal. The ground stake stays buried and the fixture connection stays in place, according to HIBOITEC.
Using a standard G4 format also allows buyers to look for compatible bulbs from multiple suppliers. The replacement still needs to match the fixture’s electrical requirements and fit inside the housing. The company provides model specifications and a replacement-bulb support page to help owners check.
Path lights for everyday garden projects
The China Hat and Pagoda path lights come with 3-watt, 2700K G4 bulbs for warm-white illumination along walkways, driveway edges and planting beds. The China Hat’s broad shade directs light down onto the ground. Its available finishes are sand black and oil-rubbed bronze.

The lights are sold in packs for projects of different sizes. Each fixture comes with its bulb, ground stake and connector; a compatible low-voltage transformer and main cable are sold separately. Homeowners can begin with the stretch of path they use most, then add fixtures as their garden plans develop.
For an existing low-voltage installation, compatible fixtures can also be added without replacing the entire system. The power supply, total load and wiring still need to suit the new lights. This lets homeowners consider the work one section at a time, while retaining equipment that remains suitable.
For homeowners lighting a front path or finishing a garden project, the range offers a way to keep the housing when a bulb fails. Replaceable bulbs are fitted to designated models; other HIBOITEC fixtures use integrated LEDs. Product specifications and current availability are listed at hiboitec.com.
