Today, Superflux Beer Company announced the opening of Superflux {Cabana}, a full-service restaurant in Victoria, BC. Superflux {Cabana} will offer a full menu, expansive beer list and seating for approximately 115 guests. Expect everything Superflux is known for – great beer, a casual spot to socialize, cool vibes and an experience that exceeds expectation. The new restaurant is slated to open fall 2021 in the heart of downtown Victoria, at 804 Broughton Street.
Superflux has partnered with Vancouver-based design firm Studio Roslyn, who created notable Victoria spaces such as Superbaba and Parsonage Cafe. Designers and principals Jessica MacDonald and Kate Snyder, along with the Studio Roslyn team will bring the vision to life through playfully bold design. “Superflux {Cabana}’s design ethos embodies the nostalgia of escapism,” says Kate Snyder. “Slightly hedonistic, our goal with the interior design direction was to rouse that oh-so-magical vacation mode feeling.”
The Superflux and Studio Roslyn teams were inspired by imagining a “Las Vegas Pool Bar Trip with Hunter S. Thompson” and have sought to create a space that makes guests feel like they have slipped away elsewhere the moment they walk through the door. “Atmospheric and a tad irreverent, the design has a certain cheeky nonchalance quality,” Snyder adds. “We are confident people will have as much fun in the space as we have had developing the concept with the Superflux team.” The new restaurant is a first for Superflux, led by co-founders Adam Henderson and Matt Kohlen. This new endeavour marks the expansion of a much-loved beer brand that strives to continually redefine itself. Superflux opened their first brewery and tasting lounge in Vancouver last summer, one-year ago in August.
Superflux will soon be recruiting talented hospitality professionals to be a part of the Superflux {Cabana} team including positions for bartenders, servers, kitchen staff, managers, and support staff. Official job postings will be published shortly, but in the meantime, those interested in the positions listed above can email a resume to jobs@superfluxbeer.com.
The new space will officially open to the public in the fall, with a date and more details to be announced later this summer. For the latest updates including information about job opportunities in the coming months visit superfluxbeer.com, @superflux.cabana and @superfluxbeer.
