Fun Festive Events for the Season in Victoria

Was over in Victoria over Christmas and they had the government buildings well lit up for Christmas. It was raining when I went to take this photos so it took a couple of tries before I got one without water on the lens but it turned out pretty good.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in Victoria. We’ve rounded up some of the festive events going on around the city that you should check out!

  1. Dec.19 – Santa Scoot – Santa rides a scooter! A parade of Vespas and vintage scooters will be making their way through city streets collecting donations. Then rallying at Market Square for a pizza party! $1 from every pizza sold at Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria will go to charity. Come see the bikes and enjoy a pizza!

4. Nov 18th to Jan 5th – Festival of Trees

This year the Victoria Festival of Trees is being held at the Bay Centre in the core of downtown Victoria. This is an annual event where local businesses step up and purchase to sponsor a tree. The sponsors decorate their business tree and all proceeds throughout the event go to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. Stop by the Bay Centre to browse all of the fantastic trees and make donations and vote for your favourite. Make sure you stop by the atHOME Victoria tree! (We are on the second floor near the Hudson’s Bay entrance).

5. Nov 21st to Ja 3rd – Canada’s National Gingerbread Showcase

Vote for your favorite and make a donation to Habitat for Humanity Victoria. A spirit rousing experience, the gingerbread creations will leave your mouth watering and your eyes wanting more.
